  尋犬啟示

敬告各位犬友：

    有位定居在台灣的外國友人，最近不慎跟他的愛犬小麗(母犬)，在台北天母家樂福走失了，經過多日的找尋仍一無所獲。
    焦急的他突然想到網路的功能性及便利性，他認為嘯五峰網站是國內外多數犬友經常瀏覽的台灣犬網站之一。於是來信請託，希望能將尋犬啟示登錄在我們的網站上，透過熱心犬友的幫忙協尋愛犬，請有發現小麗蹤跡的犬友能依尋犬啟示的聯絡方式通知這位國外友人．感謝您的幫忙。

愛犬協尋來信全文

Dear Mr. Chen,

I hope you have some time to read my mail and maybe even are able to
help us.

I found your website on Taiwan dogs while searching for more information
on our dog (her name is Xiao Li). So far, I didn't know much about
Taiwan dogs. I thought our dog was just a very special kind of dog. But
when I read the description on your website I realized how similar Xiao
Li is to your description of Taiwan dogs, only that she is very shy.
That is the only difference I could see (and I guess she is not really a
pure Taiwan dog).

I found her one year ago in Hsinchu city after somebody had dumped her.
She was very sad and always waiting for her owner to come back where
he/she left her. Such a loyal dog. After a while she started to trust me
and then I finally decided to take her home. She is very intelligent,
kind, well mannered, friendly, loyal, and so on, as you described the
Taiwan dogs on your website. She even sometimes seems to be able to read
my mind and knows what I'm thinking. A very amazing dog. She has become
like a daughter to my girlfriend and me.

Three weeks ago we left her for a few hours at my girlfriends parents
home in Taipei while we went out for dinner. She never liked to stay
there without us and always wanted to come with us. This evening someone
left the door open while we were away and she ran out of the house.

We think she left because she is trying to find us. Since she was dumped
last year by her previous owner she was always very scared of being
alone. Maybe she is even trying to go back to Hsinchu. She has usually a
very good orientation and always looks carefully out of the window when
we are driving in the car. We have tried to search any place in Taipei
where she could have gone. Also along the freeway we could not find her.
We also visited many animal hospitals and animal shelters and posted her
photos there. So far this did not help to find her.

When I saw your website I thought you might understand how much Xiao Li
means to us. And maybe you could help us finding her by letting other
people who like Taiwan dogs know about her. You can find her description
in the file in the attachment. Many people who we asked if they had seen
her did not have a good eye for seeing the differences between dogs. One
person even said that she had seen Xiao Li but then it was a Golden
retriever which of course looks totally different.

So if you know other people who also like Taiwan dogs and can see the
difference between them and other dogs, please help us by letting them
know about her. We still expect her to come some day back here to
Hsinchu. But it is very far from Taipei and dangerous on the streets, so
we hope to find her as soon as possible. But she also might still be in
Taipei or in the mountains in Yangminshan.
